Okay, so I’m back and here’s what new in my life.
Alright, so I got back Thursday night from college. My finals went pretty good I thought, but it was hard to say goodbye to all the seniors and people I will be missing next year. But, I’m also really happy for them, but none the less, it was hard to say goodbye. I will truly be missing some great people next year. They know who they are, and some of them will probably be reading this later.
Also, I applied for a chair (short for chairman) position on our student senate for next year, and I found out that I got the position. I am very excited about it and I’m gonna be coming up with some ideas of projects and things to work on next year to help out the students at my university. I’m the chair of a very important committee, and the President this year & the President for next year were both chairs of this committee, as well as the Treasurer and Vice President for next year were also ex-chairs of this committee. So, it’s a really important committee with some influential people having served on it.
Finally, I will be home alone for the next 4 days. My parents are going to Chicago because my mom is getting onto another transplant list at Loyola University-Chicago, and they have to see her in person and do some stuff so that’s why they are going down. This is amazing news, because now she will be on 2 transplant lists, which just make her chances to get a transplant that much better. I’m really excited. Plus, when our neighbor found out my brother and I would be home alone for the next couple days because of this, she brought over cookies and a giftcard to Buffalo Wild Wings for us. I was stunned. It just showed me how much people really do care about our family, and it made me grateful to have such great neighbors.
So, I’m back, it’s summer, and I’m hunting for jobs. Nothing too new. I wasn’t on for a couple of days just because I was unpacking everything from college and what not and just super busy with that sort of stuff.
I’ll be watching Black Swan tonight. I didn’t want to watch it with my parents because I heard there was just some stuff that would make it pretty awkward. I mean, usually things don’t get awkward with that sort of stuff around my parents, but I think a lesbian sex scene with my parents would be the breaking point. But, I’m excited for the movie because I’m a huge Natalie Portman fan (she finally got the respect she deserves with that Oscar) and I’m excited for the movie overall since I’ve heard it’s a mindfuck. Plus, it’s from Darren Aronofsky who directed/wrote/produced (I think he did all of it) Requiem For A Dream, which was an amazing and powerful tale of drug abuse.
Oh, side rant here. I just remembered something. But for those of you who pay attention to Politics, I think it’s fucking stupid for Mike Huckabee to be calling out Natalie Portman to have a child before being married. You know what Huckabee, fuck you. Have you ever realized that some people have different opinions on stuff like that, you know, about pre-marital sex and religion/the bible/god and what not? I mean, being in a country that’s all about Individualism, you think you’d get your head out of your ass, you stupid fuck. Fuck off. Obama will get re-elected in 2012, I guarantee it, and if you’re the GOP Candidate, good luck, because I think there are even better candidates than you. So, please, just fuck off.
